In today's society, there are many things that people feel passionate about. In today's society, no matter how many changes are made no one is ever going to be completely equal. One of these issues is gay rights. Gay marriage is not legal in all 50 states. The inequality in this situation is the fact that straight people can practice their romanic interests and get married while gay people cannot get married in certain places. People involved in this issue feel passionate because they can't control their feelings, especially if it has something to do with genetics. I personally cannot relate to this issue; however, I do believe that everyone should be able to have their ideal relationship with whomever they want, where-ever they want. It does not make any sense for people to be discriminated against when the discriminators might love someone of their own. The only difference is the gender. Also if someone is against gay marriage, and it has no way of affecting them, not fair because that is rude. This insanity is inexcusable because there is no reason to discriminate against something that will not change society dramatically. If having different religions is acceptable, why can't different sexualities be accepted? I don't think that anyone would ever understand the position that people dealing with severe issues like civil rights and gay rights. With that being said they have no room to talk until they are in their situation.  People can pick who they associate with so if gay marriage was to be legalized in more than one area than it wouldn't mean that people had to be involved with these people.
